Join Chicago's Data Connection Hub

Data Connection Hub. A meeting space to build communication, understanding, and relationships across stakeholders who are interested in loll community-engaged and participatory data science efforts. Last Fridays of the month | 12:00pm - 1:30 pm.Chicago’s new Data Connection Hub brings together data scientists and community partners from across the city and surrounding areas to build relationships and bolster communications among individuals and organizations. The hub is jointly organized by the CONNECT Research Program at Northwestern University’s Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing (ISGMH) and the Metropolitan Chicago Data-Science Corps Program. 

The transdisciplinary Data Connection Hub hosts monthly virtual meetings and Slack channel that are open to all faculty, staff, and students at Chicagoland institutions. Community partners and anyone interested in learning more about local community-engaged and participatory data science efforts are also welcome to join.  

The next monthly meeting will be held on Friday, February 24 at 12:00 – 1:00pm CT.

This hub builds upon the work begun within the four Northwestern Data Science Faculty Networking Luncheons held between 2018 and 2022, the 2019 Bias in Big Data Workshop and the resulting White Paper, and the NSF-funded Metropolitan Chicago Data-Science Corps Program.
