Explore ISGMH’s research

The Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health (ISGMH) is committed to conducting research that cultivates a more nuanced understanding of the development and experiences of sexual and gender minority (SGM) individuals. SGM include lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals — essentially, anyone whose sexual and/or gender identity does not “fit” or conform to social majority categories of sexual orientation or gender. Through its research, ISGMH seeks to improve the health and wellbeing of the SGM community. A pioneer in its field, ISGMG is the first and only academic institute to focus exclusively on this cause.
