An ISGMH faculty member and two affiliate faculty members were recently awarded research funding from the Sexualities Project at Northwestern (SPAN).
ISGMH research assistant professor, Dr. Brian Feinstein, was awarded funding for his proposal, “Bisexual visibility: Understanding motivations, strategies, and perceived success across contexts.” Dr. Feinstein’s project will use two complementary studies to better understand bisexual individuals’ attempts to make their bisexuality visible.
ISGMH affiliate faculty members Dr. Amy Johnson and Dr. Jeremy Birnholtz were also awarded SPAN research funding. Dr. Johnson’s project is titled “Informing HIV-prevention intervention strategies for young transgender women” and Dr. Birnholtz’s project is titled “Follow Me! A Content Analysis of Instagram Posts By Young Gay and Bisexual Male ‘Shoutout’ Recipients.”
Congratulations to Drs. Feinstein, Johnson, and Birnholtz!
