The National LGBTQ Health Conference convenes scientists, public health professionals, and healthcare providers to improve the health and wellbeing of sexual and gender minority populations. Sexual and gender minorities include lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer populations.
The National LGBTQ Health Conference is co-hosted by the Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing (ISGMH) of Northwestern University and the Center on Halsted Sexual Orientation and Gender Institute (SOGI). Center on Halsted is the Midwest’s most comprehensive community center dedicated to advancing community and securing the health equity of sexual and gender minorities throughout Chicagoland.
Highlights of the conference include a keynote speaker, expert panel, and breakout sessions showcasing emerging research and practice. Keynote speakers at past conferences have included Lawrence Tabak, DDS, PhD; Walter Bockting, PhD; David Purcell, JD, PhD; Kathleen Sikkema, PhD; Gregorio Millett, MPH; Ilan Meyer, PhD; and Laura Kann, PhD.
