ISGMH Granted Green Office Certification

ISGMH is proud to announce that we are officially a certified Green Office! Developed by Northwestern’s sustainNU program, the Green Office Certification is awarded to spaces that take certain measures to use environmental best practices in the workplace. In working towards this Green Office certification, our office’s Green Team has implemented policies to collectively conserve energy and water, reduce waste, and increase awareness of environmental sustainability in our space.

As an institute committed to practicing social justice, ISGMH recognizes the important role environmental justice plays in creating a more equitable world. As our associate director Dr. Francesca Gaiba often reminds us, “we want to make the world a better place for LGBTQ people, but we don’t want to negatively impact the planet while doing so.” We are proud to receive this certification from sustainNU and will continue to strive for environmental sustainability in our office.
