HIV Prevention Research by Drs. Mustanski and Phillips Featured in Northwestern University Institute for Policy Research News

Northwestern University’s Institute for Policy Research (IPR) recently highlighted an article published in AIDS and Behavior by researchers including Gregory Phillips II, Ph.D., Director of the Evaluation, Data Integration, and Technical Assistance (EDIT) Program in the Institute of Sexual and Gender Minority Health and principal investigator Brian Mustanski, Ph.D., Director of the Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health. In IPR’s feature, Dr. Phillips details the findings and implications of the article entitled “Exploring Patterns of Awareness and Use of HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Among Young Men Who Have Sex with Men” while emphasizing the importance of increasing awareness of and access to PrEP for high-risk populations. Both Dr. Phillips and Dr. Mustanski are fellows at IPR.
